The Office of Admission, in partnership with the Office of Student Life, serves your needs from the time inquiry, to the time you graduate. In many cases, our relationships with international students continue far beyond college, as many seek to live, work or pursue further studies in the United States.

The application process for an international student differs from prospective students who are citizens or have completed their secondary education in the United States. Students who would require a visa (usually F-1) in order to enroll at an American college or university are considered international students. The primary difference has to do with the required proof of English proficiency and Documentation of Financial Support for international students. Students in the United States on any type of visa other than F-1 must take the necessary steps to apply for and obtain their visa before enrolling at the College.
All steps must be completed and sent to the Office of Admission by the following deadlines in order for a formal admission offer to be granted:

All transcripts must be officially translated and evaluated on a course-by-course basis with a GPA calculated based on a 4.0 scale evaluated by a member of The National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. The Evaluation Company (TEC) formerly Span Tran is one of our recommended international transcript evaluation services for William Jewell College that will make sure you select the right kind of evaluation at a discounted rate. You can access their application here. Students will be limited to one semester enrollment until all official transcripts have been received.
If you have not yet completed postsecondary coursework and wish to be considered for an academic merit scholarship, you must send your ACT or SAT scores to Jewell.
International students must show satisfactory English language skills to be successful at William Jewell College. There are a number of ways to show your proficiency:
Submit official Documentation of Financial Support showing your ability to pay for a William Jewell College education and support yourself throughout your educational program. The college cannot send an I-20 to an admitted student until it is determined that the student will have the financial support required to cover the costs of attendance.
Please note, will work closely with you throughout this process to determine your financial responsibilities financial responsibilities in advance.
International applicants must submit the CSS Profile in order to qualify for financial assistance from William Jewell College. Please note: International students are not eligible for Federal Student Aid programs.
