If you want to make an impact in the business world, Jewell is the place to be.
Production and Consumption
Jewell's B.A. in economics prepares you to understand and apply economic concepts to complex problems. You will learn to use data and modeling to analyze economic issues, design policies, solve problems, advise decision-making and work in multiple sectors.
As an economics major, you will understand how to apply economic methods within a business decision-making framework. You also will complete a major research project, applying general economic methods in a specific field of economics.
“Jewell set a solid foundation for my knowledge in the field but most of all, I appreciate the connections I made in the big world outside the campus.”
Emil Ostafiiciuc, Grant recipient to study economic development in Moldova
Hear what this economics major has to say about her professors. Jayme was hired as an analyst at The Federal Reserve Bank of KC and is excited for the opportunity to make an impact on the economy. She was a member of Jewell’s soccer team, a Pryor Leadership Fellow and in the top 10% of the senior class.
