Being Human in the world of intelligent systems
Jewell's Center for Faith and Culture presents its spring symposium, "Being Human in the World of Intelligent Systems."
Although theologians have been explicating the meaning of imago Dei for three millennia, the AI moment gives us another opportunity to understand this idea and its implications better than ever. Join us as we explore what the rise of highly capable intelligent systems forces us to notice about our assumptions concerning human uniqueness, personhood and moral standing. We'll hear from keynote Clif Guy and expert panelists including Cheryl Jefferson Bell, Jake Lisby and Jewell's Cybersecurity Professor of Practice Nick Gicinto.
The Spring Symposium is a free event, but we kindly ask that your register. Attendees have the option to eat in the Jewell cafeteria prior to the event with a $10 charge at the door. We look forward to seeing you on The Hill soon!
- Tuesday, April 7
- 6-7:30 p.m.
