Jacqueline Land, M.A.


Assistant Professor Communication, Digital Media Communication

Professor Land has a B.A. in English and Film Studies from the University of Missouri. She also received an M.A. and was a Ph.D. candidate in Media & Cultural Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has taught courses in digital media production, race and media, media history and theory, and public speaking. In her research, she explores the intersections of digital media, consumer culture, and social justice, with a focus on Native American and Indigenous digital media activism.

At Jewell, she teaches DMC 100 Theory & History of Digital Media; DMC 150 Coding HTML, CSS, & JavaScript; COM 210 Advanced Public Speaking; and DMC 230 Web Design I: Aesthetics & User Experience.
